Frequently Asked Questions
Are you a dating/introductory agent? No. We are a group for single people who want to meet new people and make friends. Some of our members have formed relationships with other members, but this is not our sole aim. Is there any cost involved? There is a $20 membership fee each year. We are a not for profit group and do not receive funding, so this money goes back into the group and is used for the costs involved with running the group. Who organises the functions? Functions are organised by members. There are three planning days a year to discuss events that will be happening for the next four months. Other events are added through out the year. Newsletters keep members up to date with what is happening. What sort of functions do you have? All sorts! The Social Scene page will give you a bit of an idea of what is coming up in the next few months. We do some wining and dining, movies, parties, walks, coffee mornings, weekends away, interstate trips, and some of our members have even organised overseas holidays for group members. What sort of people become members? Members come from a variety of employment backgrounds. For example there are: farmers, teachers, carers, therapists, managers, engineers, electricians, hairdressers, dress makers, sales people, nurses, microbiologists, administrators, clerks, mechanics, drivers, H. R. consultants, retirees and more. How many members do you have? We currently have around 60 members. Where do members come from/live? Most of our members come from the Shepparton/Goulburn Valley area, though we do have members from different parts of Victoria. Are you aimed at a specific age range?
